Engineering, Project & Operations Roles
U.S. Army · 2000–2018

I progressed from surveying into project management and engineering operations leadership, culminating in Engineering Operations Sergeant Major. My work connected engineering requirements to the people, equipment, resources, and coordination needed to deliver in the field.

Project and operations leadership

  • Infrastructure delivery. Led engineering and infrastructure projects in Afghanistan and Iraq, coordinating site teams, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Resources and technical integration. Directed procurement and integration of survey equipment and allocated resources for mission-critical engineering operations.
  • Technical training. Developed and delivered engineering instruction for more than 1,200 personnel annually, translating complex technical practices into repeatable training across multiple branches.
  • Leadership progression. Built on hands-on surveying experience to take on project management and engineering operations responsibilities.

Live roadside visibility • Concept-to-launch programs • National service network

Senior Program Manager
AAA National · July 2018–January 2020

I led national Hyundai and Jaguar Land Rover mobile-app programs from concept through delivery. The customer experience brought the live visibility familiar from on-demand delivery apps to roadside assistance: a stranded driver could see where their tow-truck driver was, rather than wait for another status call.

The customer problem

The previous experience relied on phone updates roughly every 15 minutes. We connected the mobile experience to the service network so customers could follow the help on its way.

What I led

  • End-to-end program delivery. Led the national mobile-app launches from concept to delivery, aligning engineering, customer service, and automotive partners.
  • Service integration. Directed API integrations connecting the digital experience with AAA’s roadside-assistance operations.
  • Cross-functional coordination. Brought the participating teams and automotive partners together around the integration work and national launches.
  • Operational measurement. Directed service-KPI reporting across the national service network to connect delivery decisions with operational performance.
  • Vendor coordination. Handled vendor billing as part of program operations.

Result: The integration and reporting work improved dispatch efficiency by 15% across AAA’s national service network.

Product Manager — Device Management Platform
AT&T · January 2020–September 2024

I owned AT&T’s Device Management Platform, an enterprise self-service product for business-unit onboarding and bulk-device enrollment. It served more than 1,000 business customers, including organizations such as the FBI, Disney, and Amazon.

What the platform enabled

Large organizations needed to enroll groups of devices into their chosen mobile device management (MDM) environment. The platform supported those enrollment workflows through Apple Business Manager, Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment, and Android zero-touch enrollment.

My work connected the enrollment integrations to a self-service experience business customers could understand, adopt, and use at scale.

Product ownership and delivery

  • Platform modernization. Led product delivery for a $3 million redesign, connecting customer needs, product priorities, and cross-functional delivery.
  • Automated enrollment. Helped take automated device enrollment from concept through launch to streamline enterprise device onboarding.
  • Discovery and validation. Led more than 20 research initiatives spanning usability testing, journey mapping, and quarterly user acceptance testing.
  • Requirements and alignment. Authored product requirements, acceptance criteria, and executive decision documents to align business, design, and engineering.
  • Delivery leadership. Coordinated and mentored 15 engineers and analysts while translating research into delivery priorities and iterative UX improvements.
  • Roadmap measurement. Established utilization, feature-adoption, Net Promoter Score, and case-deflection KPIs; built executive dashboards to guide quarterly roadmap decisions.

Program outcomes: Helped increase platform utilization by 50% and reduce support tickets by 20% within 12 months, working with engineering and business partners.

I partnered with the lead Product Manager on IT funding for the redesign.

AI Trainer — RLHF & Model Evaluation
xAI · Contract · September 2024–February 2025

I completed more than 6,500 human-feedback evaluations of Grok responses. The work gave me hands-on experience examining the difference between a fluent answer and one a user can rely on.

Evaluation and failure analysis

  • Factual accuracy. Assessed whether responses were accurate and supported the task being answered.
  • Helpfulness. Evaluated whether answers addressed the user’s request and provided useful responses.
  • Safety alignment. Assessed response alignment with safety protocols as part of the evaluation work.
  • Adversarial testing. Used adversarial prompts to surface and document recurring model failure patterns.

Experience carried forward: Practical judgment about LLM reliability, output quality, and the evidence an AI-enabled product should put within a user’s reach.

Researched competing DAM platforms and established a consistent user-story standard.
Toyota.com
Led a zero-downtime cloud migration, coordinating delivery across teams.
Brand Hub
Migrated more than 1,200 assets and coordinated agency access requirements and brand governance.
Rent a Toyota
Led UX redesign work, prioritizing improvements by customer impact, usage data, and business value.
Toyota Certified Used Vehicles
Led UX redesign work, balancing customer needs, usage evidence, and business priorities.

How I led across the portfolio

  • Strategy and prioritization. Owned roadmaps and balanced delivery priorities across the five applications with senior business stakeholders.
  • Discovery into requirements. Translated business and agency-user needs into prioritized requirements, acceptance criteria, and actionable user stories.
  • Delivery coordination. Worked with engineering and UX through sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release coordination.
  • Agency and governance needs. Connected digital-asset access requirements and brand governance with product and engineering decisions.
